The opposition Slovak National Party (SNS) chair and presidential candidate Ján Slota took the floor at his party press conference May 3 to blame the Slovak cabinet of having stooped to a criminal act when it allowed NATO flights through Slovakia's airspace.
He announced that SNS deputies would come up with an initiative at the upcoming parliamentary session to support a national referendum on NATO entry. Slota hopes that also deputies from other parliamentary factions will support the nationalists' drive.
Slota also announced that the party's next press conference will reveal the plans of some Hungarian top officials to implement the idea of Greater Hungary in Slovakia. Slota pointed out that what he will present the next time will be of "confidential character."
