State-owned social insurer Sociálna Poisťovňa (SP) is set to cut its number of employees from 5,883 to 3,000 by the end of 2016, according to a proposal on the insurer's activities for 2011-16 approved by the government on Wednesday, March 30.
"The number of employees will be affected by internal measures aimed at boosting the efficiency of SP's work, which will have their main impact in 2011 and 2012," reads the document, as quoted by the TASR newswire. Around 600 personnel are due to be dismissed by the end of this year.
