Spanish company invests in Central Slovakia

THE SPANISH producer of car parts, Gruppo Amaya Telleria (GAT), is building a plant in Sučany, a village near Martin in Central Slovakia.

Sučany mayor Milan Rybár told the Pravda daily that GAT will employ around 200 people and invest Sk0.5 billion (€12.8 million) in the new facility. Production is anticipated to start in early 2006.

GAT operates in Slovakia under the name MAR SK. Its customers include PSA Peugeot Citroën, Ford, General Motors, Seat and Renault.
