SLOVAKIA has decided to transfer complete documentation about the repressive state authorities of the communist era to a public institution, according to Hospodárske noviny.

As of November 16, the National Memory Institute plans to post information from the so-called registry notebooks of the communist secret service, the ŠtB, on the Internet, making it accessible to all. The ŠtB kept the notebooks from the mid-1950s to 1989.
