Slovak junior team resumes European competition
The Slovak Under-21 football team will resume their quest to qualify for next year's European Championships when they square off against Romania on September 4 at ŠKP Stadium in Dúbravka. After six qualifying matches, Slovakia is in first place with 13 points followed by Romania (11 points), Portugal (8), Azerbaijan (4) and Hungary (3).
According to tournament rules, the top two teams will advance to next year's European Championships. After Slovakia's home match against Romania, the team will travel to Azerbaijan in October to conclude the tournament.
