SPP bills case wrapped up

After an investigation lasting four years, police have recommended charges be laid against two men, one Slovak and one Czech, for preparing fraudulent promissory notes on the SPP gas utility for 350 million Czech crowns ($10 million).

SPP was forced earlier this year to honour the notes, held by the Czech Union Banka, even though its lawyers had argued they be dismissed because they were evidently issued with criminal intent.
