Slovak gas distributor Slovenský Plynárenský Priemysel (SPP) has said it disagrees with the Regulatory Office for Network Industries' (URSO) decision that gas prices for households won't be increased this year.
SPP spokesperson Dana Kršáková, in a statement to the TASR newswire on October 15, said that despite the recent fall in oil prices, natural gas input prices for 2008 keep going up and are significantly higher than the price expected for this year by URSO.
As a result of URSO's decision, SPP will record a loss selling natural gas to households, said Kršáková, adding that SPP will consider further steps to protect its rights after a thorough analysis of the URSO decision has been completed. TASR
