THE SPP Foundation has assigned Sk4 million to support university students. Scholarships will be granted for foreign study stays, summer schools, internships and research stays anywhere in Europe. The deadline for the second round of applications is May 5, 2008. In the second round, Sk2 million will be granted to students for projects in the winter 2008/2009 semester. One of the requirements is to introduce a project of research, professional or practical character that the student wants to carry out.
Eligible candidates are students and doctoral students of law, economy, information technologies, technical fields, natural sciences and medicine, with a permanent address in Slovakia. The maximum amount of a single stipend is Sk150,000 for periods from three weeks up to nine months.
The stipend can be used to cover direct study-related costs, such as registration fees, tuition fees, health insurance, books, research material, travel costs, accommodation and other costs connected with carrying out the project. To apply, fill in the application form at www.nadaciaspp.sk and provide the required documents - a project description, CV, motivation letter, admittance letter from the institution where the project will be carried out, two references, an academic record, an income conformation from the applicant's family, and a copy of your ID. The results of the selection process will be announced no later than June 13, 2008.
