GAS utility Slovenský Plynárenský Priemysel (SPP) posted a net profit of Sk20.5 billion (€510.2 million) in 2003, which is Sk11.8 billion (€293.7 million) more than in 2002.
The gross profit was Sk25.7 billion (€639.6 million), Sk13.1 billion (€326 million) more than the previous year, the SME daily wrote.
The Slovak state, as the company's majority shareholder, will receive Sk9.4 billion (€233.9 million) in the form of dividends. SPP paid the state Sk5.2 billion (€1259.4 million) in taxes.
