“We wanted to offer students an opportunity to obtain knowledge which they can use during their studies, when working on their theses, and in the future, for example as employees of our company,” said Petra Berecová, ST’s executive director for human resources, as quoted in the press release.

Thanks to last year’s Telekom Day and his success in a competition to write a case study, student Juraj Mičuch got a job with ST.

“The idea of interconnection of study and practice via such a type of conference very much appealed to me, especially thanks to the topicality of the themes presented, “ said Mičuch. “In particular the case study, within which we were able to compare and use the knowledge we obtained during studies at school with the practical requirements of the telecom operator, was interesting.”

This year students, who were divided into groups, were asked to elaborate, in cooperation with ST experts, a proposal for cooperation between the traditional telecom operator and service providers such as Amazon or YouTube. The best two entries won a trip to the technology-oriented T-Gallery in Bonn.
