Forty-three unemployed people have moved in order to find work during the first eight months of 2011 thanks to a contribution offered by Labour and Social Affairs Offices. These contributions cost the state almost €43,700 in total. The highest number of contributions was paid in Prešov and Žilina Regions, while the fewest were provided in Bratislava and Trnava Regions, the Central Office of Labour, Social Affairs and Family (ÚPSVAR) announced, as reported by the SITA newswire.
In 2010, 47 unemployed people made use of the contribution to relocate for work, at a total cost of €38,500. That year, it was mostly people living in Košice and Prešov Regions who were interested in the contributions, with 12 and 13 paid contributions respectively. Only one contribution was paid to a citizen of Bratislava Region.
