This is the upshot of a bill that the Labour, Social Affairs and the Family Ministry is planning to submit for inter-ministerial comments on December 19. The measure is part of the so-called “15 measures” introduced in September by the Government and is projected to cost €16.4 million in 2015 and €31 million in 2016.

In the same vein, people who have reached retirement age and paid the respective contributions for at least 40 years will be entitled to a minimum pension of €311.30. The ministry has worked out that the measure should concern 75,392 pensioners next year.
