Overall employment in Slovakia stood at 2.208 million people in the final quarter of 2011, representing an increase of 0.9 percent compared to the same period of 2010, the Statistics Office stated in a preliminary estimate published on February 15.
When seasonal influences are taken into account, overall employment grew by 1.2 percent y-o-y, remaining unchanged quarter-on-quarter. More detailed statistics will be published by the Statistics Office on March 6, the TASR newswire wrote.
