THE DIRECTOR of Slovak Television (STV), the country's public broadcaster, is leaving his post early for another lucrative position.
Rybníček, whose contract term ends in January 2007, will depart as of July 10, saying he considers the station's restructuring complete. Branislav Záhradník and Ľubor Košút, who currently serve as the PR and marketing directors, respectively, will take over, Pravda wrote.
Rybníček confirmed his new position will be as head of a new digital TV station in the Czech Republic (CR), TV Febio, which will broadcast in Slovakia as well.
