THE SUMMER production break in the Trnava-based car manufacturer PSA Peugeot Citroën will last a week longer this year.

The assembly lines will be switched off on Monday, August 2, for a period of three weeks, company spokesman Peter Švec said. There is no special reason for the production halt, he said, explaining that his year it is necessary for the kind of equipment maintenance which is inevitable in this kind of production but cannot be carried out during normal working shifts. All employees will be on vacation during the maintenance except for security guards and maintenance staff, the SITA newswire wrote.
