M.R. Štefánik Airport in Bratislava (BTS) switched on Sunday, March 29, from its winter flight schedule to the summer flight schedule which the airlines will fly until October 24, the airport's spokesperson and PR manager Dana Madunická told the TASR newswire on Monday.
There will be regular flight connections to 32 destinations from Slovakia’s largest airport for the summer flight season. Favourite charter flights to holiday destinations will be on the schedule this year and their number increased to 30.
Among the new destinations are Alicante, Basel, Bologna, Brussels-Charleroi, Copenhagen, Pisa, and Poprad-Tatry. The network of regular airlines that includes Aeroflot, Czech Airlines, Ryanair, and SkyEurope will be enlarged by a new Slovak airline Danube Wings and Israeli airline Sun D'Or that plans to fly to Tel Aviv once a week in early May.
According to Madunická, a passageway connecting Departure Terminal A with Arrival Terminal B has served to enlarge the public waiting premises for passengers the services offered at the airport have been scaled up.
“Services from Slovenská Pošta (Slovak Post) are available and there are desks of travel agencies at the ground floor of the passageway,” added Madunická.
