A SURVEY conducted by the Median agency reveals that many Slovaks do not read, listen, or watch political news coverage.
The survey, entitled Life & Media & Lifestyle, polled 2,259 respondents between April 26 and August 15. Of the respondents, 27.5 percent said they never listened to political news on the radio, and 17.7 percent said they never watched politics on TV. Out of newspaper readers, 23.4 percent said they ignored political news, the daily SME wrote.
However, the survey also shows that people believe that participating in elections could impact Slovakia's development. Of the respondents, 22 percent were "definitely convinced" they could impact the country by voting, and another 41 were "rather convinced" of it.
