The man arrived at Vienna airport on Friday, May 22. Slovakia’s chief hygienist, Ivan Rovný, said that even two days after having arrived, the man showed no signs of flu but that he later developed a cough and a sore throat, SITA wrote.

Doctors later confirmed that he was infected with virus A (H1N1). He was immediately brought to the clinic for contagious diseases, where he will be examined and observed for three to four days. “In the event that things develop well, he will then be released,” the head of the Clinic for Infection and Geographical Medicine of the University Hospital in Bratislava, Vladimír Rolný, said.
