TODAY is the last day Slovaks have to submit their tax returns and pay their taxes.
Tax offices have been excessively busy for the last few days, as the majority of Slovaks leave their tax obligations to the last moment.
However, the tax authorities say that at least people no longer make so many mistakes in their tax returns as in the past, the Národná Obroda daily wrote.
If taxpayers miss today's deadline, the authorities can fine them up to Sk1 million (€25,800).
Slovaks can submit their tax returns by post, or personally at individual tax offices.
