The academic senates from the faculty of socio-economic relations, the faculty of special equipment and the faculty of health care questioned the legality of a December 7 special session during which the university’s top academic senate agreed to ask the Education Ministry to sack Mečár.

The three senates said that the top academic senate did not select its chief and deputy chief in compliance with the relevant regulations and thus the session was void. The Education Ministry continues to examine the ouster proposal and has yet to take a decision on it, TASR wrote. TASR
