THE NUMBER of lawyers in Slovakia is increasing. According to a recent prognosis, another 8,198 students will graduate from Slovak law schools over the next five years.
This number is higher than the current number of judges, prosecutors, lawyers, and other law experts combined. Another 1,000 Slovaks are studying law at foreign schools.
Law schools produce hundreds of new lawyers a year, but it is questionable whether society can absorb them, the SME daily wrote.
