Tourist information kiosk opens at Bratislava Airport

A TOURIST information centre booth opened at the M.R. Štefánik Airport in Bratislava on January 9. The kiosk in the arrival hall provides visitors with information on accommodation, transport and culture, among other things.

The kiosk will be open daily until evening hours, Bratislava mayor Milan Ftáčnik said at the ceremonial opening, according to the SITA newswire. Visitors who arrive at night will be able to find leaflets containing basic information or links to the website of the Bratislava tourist board.

State secretary of the Transport, Construction and Regional Development Ministry František Palko said it is crucial to offer tourists basic information on where to stay, where to rent a car or how to spend their time, at the first point of contact in the visited country.

Visitors will be able to find promotional materials, city maps and information on accommodation bookings there, as well as the Bratislava City Card tourist card, which lists advantageous offers for staying in the Slovak capital.
