MORE and more tourists are visiting Bratislava, the Hospodárske noviny daily reported.
While in 2003 around 304,000 tourists came to the Slovak capital, that figure rose to 380,000 in 2004.
In addition, the January-April 2005 numbers suggest another 12 percent increase of tourists year-on-year.
The increase is partly attributed to the February 2005 US-Russia summit that was held in Bratislava.
The Slovak capital is preparing new projects in order to attract even more visitors. One such idea, which is already in place, is a so-called "Citicard".
The cards, valid for one to three days entitle the holders to discount entry to cultural sites and institutions in the city.
