Town of Stropkov wants to build industrial park worth Sk100 million

An industrial park worth Sk100 million (€3.32 million) that the town of Stropkov (Prešov region) is planning to build should create almost 300 new jobs within five years, it was announced on October 13. The Stropkov local authorities want to obtain part of the money from the Economy Ministry, which has voiced its support for the construction of brownfield industrial parks, the TASR news agency was told by Imrich Mako from the Stropkov town council. The town must submit its application for funds by October 17 of this year. A company called EC-EDMA will represent the town, prepare and carry out the project based on a mandate contract with Stropkov. Several foreign companies have shown interest in building facilities in Stropkov in the past. As the town didn't have any suitable sites, however, they changed their minds and left. TASR
