THE LABOUR Ministry ignores important and relevant input from social partners when producing its reports, according to Slovakia’s trade union confederation, KOZ.
KOZ says that the ministry submitted a report to the Council of Europe about how the country would implement laws conforming to the European Social Charter without consulting with the trade unions, the SITA news agency wrote.
The Council of Europe is the official body overseeing that national legislation conforms to the European Social Charter.
The submitted report is biased and insufficient, stated KOZ president Ivan Saktor. He said the report responded to none of the 16 objections raised in relation to Slovakia by the European Committee of Social Rights.
The Slovak government intentionally distorted real parameters of social policy in Slovakia, said Saktor.
