SLOVAKIA regards China as a promising destination for Slovak exports.
During the first four months of 2011 Slovakia exported goods worth almost €390 million to China, accounting for 2.2 percent of Slovakia’s total exports.
“Even though this share is growing each year, Slovakia’s exports to China lag behind imports,” Eva Sadovská, an analyst with Poštová Banka, told The Slovak Spectator.
“Between January and April Slovakia imported goods from China worth €1.06 billion, making up 6 percent of Slovakia’s total imports.”
According to Sadovská, expansion of Slovakia's exports to China will continue in the future.
