A SERIES of training workshops for French-speaking Slovaks applying for jobs in EU institutions will take place from May 9 to June 9, the TASR news agency reported.

Vice-Premier Pal Csaky and French Ambassador to Slovakia Jacques Faure signed a Memorandum of Understanding regarding the issue on Monday in Bratislava.

The fee for the whole education cycle is Sk15,000 (€395).
Faure said that Slovaks have, so far, covered only 60 percent of the placements assigned for them. "Our wish and aim is to help Slovak candidates to fill all the remaining free placements at all levels," Faure said.

Specialists from the Centre for European Studies will conduct the workshops. Applications via the Government Office website or directly at the French Institute in Bratislava can be made up to April 29.
