REGIONAL morning trains around Vienna now promote Slovakia. The wagons travelling to city’s suburbs Sankt Pölten and Wiener Neustadt carry the name www.slovakia.travel, as part of the campaign that started on December 15 and will run through mid-December 2014, the SITA newswire reported.
“We continue in original communication with potential Austrian tourists, especially from Vienna surroundings,” said Marta Kučerová, head of the Slovak Tourist Board (SACR) which arranged the promotion, as quoted by SITA.
Kučerová added that the inscription on trains should point to the national portal of tourism in Slovakia where they will find all tourist information about Slovakia as well as information about actual events in German. The name of the train will be also mentioned in timetable on all stations and electronic boards on platforms.
SACR follows the cooperation from previous years when the trains were named Reiseland Slovakia (Destination Slovakia) and Kulturhauptstadt Košice (European Capital of Culture Košice), SITA wrote.
