The Transport Research Institute based in Žilina will develop solutions to regional studies and projects supporting the implementation of intelligent transport systems in Slovakia for the Transport Ministry, the SITA newswire wrote.
The institute will coordinate Slovakia's involvement in resolving and implementing the Easyway International European project. Services will be provided for a period of two years for €499,960, excluding VAT. The state budget will cover 80 percent of this sum and the remaining twenty percent will come from the TEN-T European fund, according to SITA.
The contractor was selected in a public competition with one bid received. The price was originally estimated at €500,000. The two parties concluded the relevant contract on September 11. The Transport Research Institute pursues activities in all modes of transport, focusing on technology, equipment, operation, economy, legislation, management and organization of transport. SITA
