A MAJOR trial began on January 14 against plaintiffs Dušan Borženský, allegedly a Košice underworld leader, and seven accomplices, with charges including murder, attempted murder, extortion, armed robbery, and assault.
Among other crimes, Borženský is believed to have been involved in the 1999 murder of alleged Košice mob boss Karol Kolárik.
The case file is over 5,000 pages long, and investigators will hear testimony from more than 200 people.
