Trnka casts doubt on Malinová investigation

Prosecutor General Dobroslav Trnka notified police investigators and the district prosecutor that he found shortcomings in the investigation in the case of Hedviga Malinová, the Pravda daily wrote on September 14.

Malinová claimed she was attacked for speaking Hungarian last summer. Police later charged her with perjury and said she made up the incident.

Trnka told Radio Viva that police investigators and the district prosecutor have not looked at all the available evidence that they should have, according to the law. However, he did not say exactly what he had in mind.
