Two killed in air crash

THERE were two small airplane crashes in Slovakia on September 25. While the crew of one airplane survived, both of the crew in the second airplane died, the SITA news wire reported.

Close to a village Slatinka in the Lučenec region the small ZLIN 425 sports airplane crashed soon after takeoff at 17:30, for unknown reasons. Two men in the plane, aged 42 and 57, died on the spot.

Mária Faltaniová, spokeswoman for the Banská Bystrica police said that the police and the Civil Aviation Authority are investigating the accident.

Near Žilina, in Turská dolina valley, a light MORAN airplane also crashed, with both Hungarian crew suffering broken legs.
