The United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon will arrive for his first visit to Slovakia on Sunday, January 27. His predecessor, Kofi Annan, visited Slovakia nine years ago.
After attending the local UN Development Program center in Bratislava, Ban Ki-moon will visit Piešťany, where he will have lunch with Slovak Foreign Affairs Minister Ján Kubiš. In the evening he is to dine with Slovak President Ivan Gašparovič and his spouse.
On Monday, the UN secretary general will hold official talks. He will meet the Speaker of the Slovak Parliament, Pavol Paška and Prime Minister Robert Fico. SITA
