FOREIGN strategic partners are willing to pay Sk13 to 14 billion (€344 to 371 million) for the Bratislava airport and around Sk1 billion (€25.5 million) for the Košice airport, the Pravda daily wrote.
Three out of four airport bidders submitted a combination of two prices at this level.
The economic weekly Trend yesterday published unofficial bids on its website. Transport Ministry spokesman Tomáš Šarluška said the ministry would not comment on the published price offers and would also refuse to confirm whether the published bids are authentic.
According to Trend, however, the TwoOne consortium, which includes the Vienna Airport and the Slovak financial group Penta, are offering Sk6 billion (€159 million) for the Bratislava airport plus a financial deposit of Sk7.9 billion (€209 million).
The consortium led by Spanish Abertis and Slovak financial group J&T are offering Sk3.3 billion (€87 million) plus a deposit of Sk9.7 billion (€257 million). The third bidder – the ISAP group, which includes the German Köln/Bonn airports, has offered a total of Sk10.3 billion (€273 million) including the financial deposit, according to the weekly.
The ISAP representatives said, however, that the information was untrue and that their offer was "much higher" according to ISAP's Ľubomír Šoltýs.
