US Burger King fast food chain to open its first branch in Slovakia

The Burger King chain of fast food restaurants based in the US and operating worldwide will open its first facility in Slovakia in March of this year at the Eurovea complex along the Danube River, the web portal aktualne.sk wrote on February 20. Burger King has been considering coming to Slovakia for some time but in summer 2009 its plans for expansion were delayed to an unknown time-point in the future, the ČTK informed.

The fast food chain opened in the Czech Republic in 2008 and it also has operations in Hungary and Poland. The Czech fast food chain Paneria will also open in the Eurovea complex. Slovakia already has several other global chains such as MacDonald’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Pizza Hut, and Subway. ČTK, aktualne.sk
