PILOTS from the US Air Force ended their latest training session at the Kuchyňa military base in western Slovakia on September 13.
The pilots from the 31st combat wing were here for 10 days of training, which focused on live machine-gun ammunition and bombs with dummy ammunition, spokesperson Miroslava Vendzúrová of the General Staff of the Slovak Military Forces told the TASR newswire. It was their second round of training in Slovakia this year.
In total, the pilots made 64 flights from the air base in Aviano, Italy, dropped 263 BDU-33 dummy bombs, and fired shells from the Vulcan air-to-air combat cannon.
US Air Force training sessions at the firing range in Kuchyňa have been held every year since 1997.
