THE SLOVAK cabinet approved a memorandum of understanding yesterday with the US company Truthheim Invest LLC to complete the new Slovak National Theatre (SND).
Truthheim will become a 49 percent shareholder of the theatre by paying Sk961,000 (€24,000), Pravda daily newspaper wrote.
Finishing the theatre, which has been under construction for more than 20 years, is expected to cost another €20 million. Once opened, the theatre will be run by Truthheim and rented to Slovak groups for an amount the Culture Ministry described as "lower than usual in this area".
