DEFENCE ministers of the V4 countries agreed to commission a working committee of chiefs of military staff to explore the possibility of a joint training centre for supersonic jet pilots, the news wire TASR wrote.
Discussions between the chiefs of staff of the armed forces of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia should conclude in October 2004, and include site selection.
“We did not talk about the location (of the base) today. We just agreed it would be good to have such a base in the V4 countries, and that our experts will discuss it,” Slovak Defence Minister Juraj Liška said afterwards.
