The three millionth automobile rolled off the production line at Bratislava-based Volkswagen Slovakia since the company launched production in 1991, the TASR newswire reported on June 22.
“In over more than 20 years of car production we have made 12 models,” said the CEO of the Volkswagen Slovakia, Albrecht Reimold, as quoted by TASR, outlining the extent of production at the facility in Bratislava.
Volkswagen Slovakia is one of Slovakia’s largest investments, exporters, and employers in the private sector, employing 8,400 people, TASR wrote.
