“At 10:30 AM, we received a fax from the SDKÚ asking for a meeting. The official letter has not yet arrived,” presidential spokesman Marek Trubač told the SITA newswire on June 17.

On Tuesday, June 16, representatives of the SDKÚ, Freedom and Solidarity (SaS), the Christian Democratic Movement (KDH) and Most-Híd signed a declaration on post-election cooperation aimed at forming a new government. Radičová announced that she would ask President Ivan Gašparovič for a meeting at which the coalition leaders could inform the head of the state about their agreement.
