The Smer party has maintained its position as the largest party in the Slovak Parliament following elections held on June 12, after votes from 100 selected election precincts have been counted by Focus polling agency for news channel TA3.
According to the Focus prediction, Smer leads with 34.2 percent, followed by the Slovak Democratic and Christian Union (SDKÚ) on 15.6 percent. Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) comes third with 12 percent, followed by Christian Democratic Movement (KDH), which has received 8.2 percent. Most-Híd received 7.7 percent and the Hungarian Coalition Party (SMK) received 5.6 percent, the prognosis suggests.
Jan Slota's Slovak National Party (SNS) received 5.1 percent.
The Movement for a Democratic Slovakia (HZDS) received only 4.3 percent and will not make it into parliament, according to Focus.
