VW restarts production at Bratislava plant on May 18

Volkswagen's plant in Bratislava restarts production on May 18, the TASR newswire was told by the company's spokesman Vladimír Machalík. Production at the factory was suspended for the entire previous week as a consequence of the global economic crisis, following two other manufacturing interruptions between February 16-25 and April 6-17. “Both production lines at the Volkswagen Slovakia plant in Bratislava will restart on Monday morning. The company used the interruption to prepare the plant for production of the new small family cars,” said Machalík.
