THE VILLAGE of Štrba is missing its post box after someone apparently stole it. The post box stood in front of the village’s house of culture and it seems that it was stolen sometime between December 30 and January 4, but apparently no one missed it quickly or reported it missing in a timely manner.
Daniel Džobanik, the spokesman for the Regional Police in Prešov, told the TASR newswire that the perpetrator of this dastardly deed is accused of the crime of “threatening the operation of the Štrba post office and causing about €350 in damage”. The Poprad police department has begun a thorough hunt for the post box, hoping to find it and the culprit.
