The Slovak Intelligence Service (SIS) allegedly collected information on the 99 Percent – People's Voice party from November 2011 to February 2012, according to an internet website called Amur located on the tumblr.com server, the TASR newswire reported. This is the server where the Gorilla and Sasanka files have been published.
The Amur website provides information on individuals involved with 99 Percent party and their affiliations with other organisations, stating that some of these individuals include Pavel Weiss, not on the candidate list, and his son Ivan, who is slated fourth. Ivan Weiss had already stated that he is one of the most significant backers of the new party.
The alleged SIS file reports on links between 99 Percent sponsors and other individuals as well as some its plans. TASR wrote that the party was reported to have an interest in discrediting the Ordinary People and Independent Personalities (OľaNO) party and allegedly cooperated with one of the persons involved in the Gorilla protests, Lucia Gallová.
The spokesperson for 99 Percent party, Michaela Salajová, told TASR that the published document was an "imbecilic clump of nonsense" and an attempt to discredit the organisation prior to the election. "Discombobulation like this only serves to divert attention away from the genuine SIS Gorilla file that exposes the most atrocious and serious practices of organised crime in Slovak politics during the past 22 years," she stated, as quoted by TASR.
The SIS rejected the authenticity of the document. "The Slovak Intelligence Service rejects any link between its activities and the published material and refuses to make any further comments on irrational fabrications that emerge during the election campaign," said an SIS spokesman who refused to be named.
TASR wrote that Ivan Weiss played a critical role in the 2010 campaign by sponsoring the re-emergence of SDĽ – the Party of the Democratic Left – which captured 2.41 percent of votes that some say would have gone to Smer party, which had absorbed SDĽ a decade earlier.
