The head of Trnava Region, Tibor Mikuš, informed SITA that the cluster is expected to gradually raise competitiveness of suppliers in the energy sector. Its aim is to exploit the energy potential of the country while giving preference to environmentally safe and renewable energy resources.

Mikuš hopes that the region will see new facilities using hydropower, biomass, solar energy, geothermal energy, waste and wind energy in the coming years. He expects this to lead to lower energy costs, a higher employment rate in the region, environmental protection and making the region more attractive. SITA
