A POST OFFICE employee in Svätý Jur near Bratislava discovered 40 envelopes containing an unknown white powder on April 5.
Police spokeswoman Silvia Miháliková said that an unknown sender had addressed the consignments to the Slovak president, the prime minister, several cabinet ministries and universities, the SITA news agency wrote.
Slovak Post was also among the recipients.
It is believed that the sender posted the envelopes at a public mailbox between the morning of Monday April 5 and Tuesday noon.
The authorities are inspecting the envelopes' contents.
