One day after her birth, the small tigress weighed 1,410 grams and during her first five days did nothing but eat, drink and gain weight. However, after several days during which her mother lost milk she started to lose weight rapidly and zoo officials decided to shift the entire care of the cub to zoo keepers. Recently, here weight had increased to over 5 kilograms and she has already become used to eating minced raw meat, while still getting special milk three times a day. Visitors can watch the baby tiger being fed by a keeper in the inner tiger pen, the SITA newswire wrote. The daily feeding times are posted at a notice board in the zoo’s Beasts of Prey Pavilion, near the white tigers’ pens.
