THE TOTAL amount of fines levied during the recent Vietor 3 (Wind 3) campaign against illegal work, was Sk1.2 million (€31,170), the Hospodárske noviny reported.
The labour offices carried out 2,161 inspections and checked 4,766 people.
During the recent checks the inspectors uncovered 96 employers who illegally employed 142 persons.
Since April 1, when the Wind campaign was carried out for the first time, the inspectors have uncovered 2,474 illegally employed persons in 1,503 firms. They also discovered 36 illegally employed foreigners. The total fines reached Sk9.5 million (€246,800).
