Enel (Italy) and ČEZ (Czech Republic), the two bidders of a 66-percent stake in power producer Slovenské elektrárne (SE), have extended their offers until December 10, Economy Minister Pavol Rusko confirmed November 29.
Enel was recommended in October by the privatisation commission as winner of the tender, while CEZ was the runner-up.
Although the Ministry of Economy has already come to terms with Enel on the transaction, Cabinet has yet to declare a winner.
Rusko said that the final details of the privatisation would be worked out on November 29 and ready for submission to the Cabinet on Wednesday.
Enel offered €840 million (Sk33bn) for the SE stake; CEZ offered €690 million.
