Growth in consumer prices in Slovakia accelerated in April. Year-on-year inflation reached 1.3 percent last month, up 0.5 percentage points from March, the SITA newswire wrote.
Consumer prices rose by 0.7 percent y/y on average in the January-April period, according to the national methodology. This was a 0.2 percentage-point increase from the average value for the first three months of this year. Consumer prices were 0.4 percent higher month-on-month. In March, they rose 0.1 percent compared to February, the Statistics Office of the Slovak Republic announced.
